These stem kits are so fun and educational for the kids! My son is obsessed with these kits. He wants to be an engineer when he grows up. I think this is our 3rd or 4th kit that we have ordered for him. He is 10 years old and can build any of the builds on his own. They come with instructions that are easy to follow. The parts are organized and easy to find. The solar panels work! You do need to have the solar panel in direct sun or halogen light, but it works! The robots move fast. I was surprised at how quickly that robot got moving when it was in direct sunlight. Great quality pieces that will last! They are smaller than pictured, but they fit in the palm of your hand. My son loves them! We will definitely be purchasing more.Also this kit is a 14 in one so there are 14 different builds you can choose from. I love that it gives the kids choices.

I hot this 14-in-1 robot kit for my 10-year-old nephew (a certified STEM maniac). I thought I was gifting him a toy; turns out I was gifting myself a fantastic excuse to spend hours building a solar-powered walking crab. The kit is brilliant! Fourteen robots means he won’t get bored after 20 minutes, and the solar panel feature is a fantastic, genuine hook. I loved watching the little dog model wag its tail purely on sunlight felt like a magic trick. The parts are sturdy, the instructions are clear (even for a distracted uncle), and the bonding time was priceless. Déjà, IMPERATIF d’avoir une pince coupante de modélisme pour détacher chaque pièce des plaques plastiques. Le manuel est très précis, mais attention tout est en Noir et Blanc et en Anglais. Ensuite, excellente idée d’avoir intégré tous les sachets pour facilement ranger et identifier les pièces pour le montage. Pour le prix que je considère réduit, les pièces sont de bonne qualité (aucun défaut constaté dans les nombreuses pièces fournies) et c’est incroyable de retrouver inclus un panneau solaire et une pile rechargeable. Le corps et la tête du robot s’adaptent sur 14 modèles, ce que je trouve réellement variés et originaux (De la tortue au surfeur avec sa planche, en passant par la classique voiture). J’ai particulièrement apprécié le look d’un célèbre animé “Pixar”, et surtout que ça permet de faire découvrir la mécanique et l’électronique aux enfants en quelques dizaines de minutes. The solar battery is not strong enough to make it drive (checked by the sun and by an electrician). The building part was fun for my 7year old son, but not driving part was disappointing.
