Recommend for Kids age 6-8 not 6th grade
Although I got this as a gift. The age range is for 6-8 not 11+ so much. The Older kid put them together in about 15 mins without challenge. They are easy to assemble and a good value. The size is appropriate for 6+. Haven’t yet tested the functionality Wait to see. I think the kids will enjoy and have fun. Pretty good quality of material.

Fun project for kids (with some help from adults)
I bought the “4 Set Bulk Robot Kits for Kids 6-8 8-12, STEM Crafts Robotics Science Projects” to build with my granddaughters. Overall the sets were well and the parts were somewhat pre-sorted to help identify which were to be used for different steps. The instructions are fine for an adult/instructor but I think they would be very hard to follow for the targeted age group.My only real complaint is that the screws used are VERY small and difficult to install. You are only putting the screws into plastic, but the screw heads are small and the provided screwdriver requires a significant amount of pressure to get the screws started and not strip out the screw heads. Even with a good screwdriver, the screws are difficult to install.If I were building the kit alone, it would have taken about 15-20 minutes the first time through. With my 6 year old granddaughter’s help, it took about an hour. We both found the build to be fun and the kit was an excellent complexity level to keep her interested without becoming overly frustrated.

Exactly what they say it is.Easy to build, fun little kit. Great value for the price.There are a few steps where the kids definitely need a little help but that’s a great part of the process. They learn about electricity, mechanics, and robotics – and the end product is great!If you have younger kids and want to hook them up with a STEM project – this is it👍

Kids loved making these. Downfall is should put a sticker marking top and bottom of motor, some put on upside-down and wouldn’t walk until flipped.
