Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus (newest model) with built-in subwoofer, 3.1 channel, Dolby Atmos, clear dialogue

Great all in one soundbar
I very happy with my purchase of this soundbar. Recently a vizio 2.1 soundbar I had had some issues which ultimately had it with much reduced volume. Prior to that I had an expensive surround sound system. 4 Def Tech tower speakers, a a large center speaker and large subwoofer. The switch to soundbars was mostly to accommodate my gf and just simplify things. She does not like loud and thumpy so the full blown system is kind of out. The Vizio soundbar I had did have a subwoofer, but I would turn that all the way down for her.I decided to try and simplify even further with this all in one soundbar and I have to say I’m very impressed. It blows the vizio soundbar I had out of the water. Even with the bass turned down all the way, it has a nice full sound to it compared to the higher pitched Vizio.Another thing I was looking for was better separation of voice. I am having more difficulty as I get older and with the Vizio, the lack of separation of the voices tended to get them drowned out. On the Amazon soundbar the voices are very distinct and clear, even at dialog level 1. If I need extra oomph, I’ve got 4 more levels of dialog boost I can use.For movies and TV this soundbar sounds great. I did listen to one movie the other day that didn’t sound as good, but I suspect that’s more related to the source of the movie itself than the soundbar. For movies, there is plenty of bass imo and it sounds very full and loud even at a low bass setting. I personally prefer it at around 5 which I feel sounds most natural, but if you really like bass you’ve got up to level 9 to go.Music so far is possibly a little let down. I haven’t gotten a chance to play with it much and so far only really listened from youtube app on the Roku. I suspect that may not be a great source and perhaps a bit of tweaking will help when I have time. I do NOT like the “music” equalizer mode. I think it sounds very thin in this mode and for music (and really everything) I think the “movie” mode is the best. It has that nice round warm tone that I prefer.Setup was super easy. I’m using an optical cable. I plugged it right in and was ready to go. I would prefer if the remote allowed for moving up or down some of the settings like dialog level, treble and bass. These you have to go through all the levels to cycle back to the lowest level (unless I’m missing something). Kind of annoying, but generally your set once you find what you like. Volume does go up and down.

Amazing soundbar, easy setup and unique touches in design
I want to preface this that I have used some of the best companies for my soundbar setup in the past (ie, Bose, Sony and Samsung soundbar). I have struggled with setup and then fine tuning the sound. Bose was one of the worst with their app setup and connection to WiFi absolutely horrible setup process.I decided I wanted something easier and better sound. I came across this soundbar and was intrigued that is designed to work with fire tv, I have an Insignia TV with fire tv built in for the smart tv aspect.I received the new soundbar plus in good time and setup was amazing. I made the necessary connection to hdmi connection and power to a surge protector ( hdmi cable is included). Tv was off/in standby mode and decided to turn on the soundbar, in approximately 30 seconds the soundbar announced, Amazon uses the Alexa voice which I thought was a cute touch, it was connected to the Insignia FireTV.I am very pleased with the whole process, used the included wall mount, since my TV is also wall mounted. Amazon includes a template for wall mounting.One thing I would like to point out is since most people will connect to TV they already have. Go into sound settings and delete any sound profiles and turn on TV speaker, remember I have a a firetv so things are automatically changed by the soundbar, other TV smart tv setup might/ will be different. If you have a TV with firetv built in setup is very easy, or so it was on my Insignia TV.Love the center speaker for voice enhancement this is really cool and has 5 settings. Sound quality needs to be adjusted for your liking. The included soundbar remote lets you handle all the settings without having to go into TV menu.Overall I am very pleased with my set up experience and the quality of the soundbar plus, I chose the soundbar without the subwoofer as I am not into rumbling low tones some movies output. Due to the complexity of hdmi there is bit of a lag with the sound being output to speakers, this is Not a flaw, it happens with all soundbar connected to arc/e arc.Amazon, you totally hit it out of the park with this whole setup, features, compatibility and quality of the Soundbar plus, thank you so much to all the engineers putting this together and ease of use.

Well I thought that I could use a little more umpff from my TV in my bedroom and have long thought about getting a soundbar. So considering I use a firestick for all my programming and not being too familiar with the home theatre these days, I decided on this soundbar plus. I figured that there would be zero compatibility issues because they were both Amazon products.Setup was very easy and the devices easily recognized each other and I was like ” That’s it?” So easy to set up just by following the on screen prompts of the firestick.Sound wise it’s definitely noticeable especially with dialogue and movies are much more immersive and with the built in subwoofer, you can feel the difference. Overall I am quite satisfied with the purchase as it was on sale.The only anomaly that I notice is that when the program changes to a commercial or whatever show, at the very beginning of each new segment it’s like the sound is louder but then the soundbar adjusts itself and then it maintains the level. But a new commercial and same thing happens. Will look into this deeper at some point if it bothers me.Also the firestick remote instantly connected to the soundbar and that was great. That is one of the reasons I went for this soundbar and it was flawless. So for those reasons I’m in!👍 ✨

Preliminary use indicates the soundbar produces audio enhancement compared with a previously used Dolby Digital soundbar, when used with Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby 5.1 and DTS Master Audio 5.0. While the sound is not highly spatial due to my set up, it is richly detailed and powerful. The bass level is very adequate for a small space. Excellent for music playback, with excellent clarity to voices too. So far, very good indeed, thank you very much. Good value too, and easy to install.
