Amazing gift for my cousin!
My Three Cents:I just bought this MSI Katana for my cousin, it’s a birthday gift. Me and him were looking at laptops for weeks and this one had the best specs for the price. My cousin is a big gamer, so he needed something strong.The screen is amazing. Its QHD and 165Hz, so the games look super clear and smooth. He installed his favorite game and it run perfect. The RTX 5060 graphic card must be really good. Also its very fast with the i7 processor and 16GB of ram. He says there’s no lag at all.The 1TB SSD is also a big plus, he has so many games and it’s nice to have all that space. The RGB keyboard is a cool touch, he loves changing the colors. Wifi 6E is fast too for his online games.I’m just really happy with this purchase. Seeing how happy my cousin is, I know I made the right choice. If your looking for a gaming laptop for someone, this one is a really good deal. I definately recommend it.

Slicing through frames
Great college laptop for when you save up some money from your part time job. 1440p resolution with 165Hz refresh is perfect for gaming in the dorms. The 5060 GPU is low TDP so it’s good for lectures since the battery becomes manageable and won’t die within a few hours. Intel mobile CPUs are still #1 and super reliable so it’s going to be future proof for a while. Small enough in size to carry around in a backpack too.

Not off to a good start
I’m not sure if I just got an unlucky one but just trying to run a simple game like binding of Isaac is really janky. I’m probably going to return it. I will try giving customer support a call. If they can fix my issue, I would like to update it to five star. Other than that, not very happy with what I have so far.EDIT 2 days later: I was able to figure out what I needed to do myself. If you end up in the situation, use the MSI center on the laptop and switch your performance settings. It runs perfectly and runs high-end games now I call of duty without any issue. After a little work, I can definitely say it is worth a purchase.

Laptop para arquitectura
La laptop me ha venido muy bien. Yo mismo realicé todas las instalaciones y actualizaciones sin problema. En algunos momentos se calienta, pero entiendo que es normal. Sin embargo, cometí el error de ponerla en suspensión y guardarla en mi maleta; al llegar a casa la encontré muy caliente, con los ventiladores al máximo, lo que me asustó un poco. La dejé enfriar y, por suerte, no tuvo consecuencias.En cuanto al rendimiento, la batería dura poco, lo que considero un punto débil. También presentó algunos errores al principio, pero logré solucionarlos actualizando la BIOS. Desde entonces, ha funcionado bien.En general, considero que ha sido una buena compra. No obstante, en comparación con mi laptop TUF Gaming, no noto una diferencia tan grande como esperaba. Personalmente confío más en una MSI con procesador Intel que en un TUF con Ryzen. Para trabajos de arquitectura, esta laptop cumple muy bien.

Nice. Battery issues though. Maybe defective?
This is one heck of a gaming set. And at 1440p. Amazing. It does better than my gaming desktop at 4k ultra even. If you put it into performance mode the fans are going fast and loud. This laptop does not get hot because of that.Monday November 11 2025- I’ve only used this laptop on maybe 15- 20 times maybe 1-2 hours at a time . Maybe way less. The battery is fully charged everytime it’s shut down however when I start it back up it’s down to 92 percent over night. This is not consistent with the term “New” battery. I have 5 computer network and security certifications, and can say I’ve never seen this. I’m positive this is a defective battery. Besides that all is good.

Excellent laptop. Not too heavy. I got a cooler to lower the heat. It also has almost no noise. I get a few crashes when using USB passthrough in vmware.

Idk what to say just sad
It’s supposed to be a gaming laptop but look at this games crashed like 100 times and I was thinking…. Welll. Maybe is because is the first time i just open the game but not is just unplayable idk if the laptop is caped or what but every game just crash and if u dont play charging trust me forget about the laptop is just slow motion without the charger
