ESP32 Development Board
V4 Development Board: The LoRa 32 V4 is a brand-new upgraded version of the classic LoRa development board. While maintaining the powerful features of its predecessor, the V4 version features comprehensive optimizations in hardware design, power management, and scalability. Suitable for IoT applications such as smart cities, agricultural monitoring, smart homes, industrial control, security systems, and wireless meter reading, it provides developers with a more efficient and flexible development experience.
Powerful Connectivity: Our development board is equipped with dedicated 2.4GHz metal spring antennas and rubber rod antennas for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and a reserved LoRa U.FL interface ensures stable, long-range wireless communication. A new SH1.25-8-pin GPS interface facilitates positioning expansion. It also features a rich set of peripheral interfaces. The development board’s form factor and pinout are compatible with LoRa 32 V2 and V3 versions, and additional external pins enhance scalability.
Hardware Upgrade: Our V4 development board utilizes the ESP32-S3R2 and SX-1262 chipsets, but removes the CP2102 serial port chip. It features a 0.96-inch display with a fully protected screen structure, ideal for displaying debugging information and battery status. It also includes 2MP of internal SRAM and 16MB of external SRAM. The flash memory easily handles complex firmware. The high-power version of the LoRa system boasts an increased transmit power of 27±1dBm, ensuring stable communication. The GNSS interface consumes less than 20uA, maintaining its low-power design. The PC case fully encloses the screen and integrates a 2.4GHz antenna, enhancing overall strength and integration.
Upgraded power management: The development board features a built-in 3000mAh battery and a unique N39 protective case. The N39 case is compatible with both V3 and V4 development boards. You can easily charge via the Type-C port, which integrates voltage regulation, ESD protection, and short-circuit protection. Alternatively, you can use the SH1.25-2P solar connector, compatible with solar panels up to 4.4-6V/540mA. This innovative design ensures your WiFi LoRa 32 (V4) remains powered and ready for use. Supporting charge and discharge management, overcharge protection, battery level detection, and automatic USB/battery power switching, this ESP32 kit is the ideal choice.
Strong compatibility and developer-friendly design: This ESP32 LoRa Ar duino development board supports Ar duino. The development environment can be easily integrated with existing projects and compatible devices such as for Raspberry Pi. With 2MP of internal SRAM and 16MB of external Flash, it can easily handle complex firmware and facilitate program download and debugging, making it an ideal choice for both novice and experienced developers.
Note: The securing screw in the upper left corner of the screen is a special plastic screw, unlike the other three. This screw prevents interference with the 2.4GHz radio frequency and is not a product defect. If you encounter a black screen or motherboard malfunction: This is because the stable system does not support firmware V4. You can try using version 2.7.11 or 2.7.12. Please flash the firmware first. This issue is most likely caused by flashing the wrong firmware.
Note:Regarding firmware updates, the ESP32 requires the use of BOOT mode in some cases; this is a chip characteristic. This is mentioned in the FAQ on the official website and online documentation. Regarding the battery interface, it is a standard size. Meshtastic’s 2.7.12 Bluetooth connectivity had flaws; these issues have been fixed in 2.7.13, which also removed power limitations in most regions. The downgraded version 2.7.11 imposed numerous restrictions on RF power.

Tight fit
the Lora antenna adapter thread is too short for the case if the nut is attached. Screwing the antenna in without the nut will assure solid connection. The housing holding the adapter is too thick. The battery connector is very tight to the edge. The v4 connectors for battery and solar are mounted so the cable exits to outside edge causing a short squeeze Against the case edge. Solved by routing one lead upwards and one downwards. This also requires the battery to be connected and activating the board so make sure the antenna is connected before or turn of transmit before any mechanical work. One also has to be careful one using the screws to not drop them on the boards while affixing it into the case. Looks like oversights by the board or case designer. But otherwise a nice case

Antenna fitment issues.
I like the form factor of this case. My only complaint is where the antenna connector fits into the case. It is a little too tall for the antenna to make a good/reliable connection. It is an easy fix to just sand it down a little. I have included a photos with one sanded down and one that isn’t.

High quality kit
Heltec v4: So far so good. Better screen and supposed to be better battery life. Seems more responsive too.The kit: Very good 3D printed case and well designed. I would like to see a carabiner hook point built into the top of the case but other than that great. Took only about 10 min to assemble and figure it out without looking at instructions.Battery is a good quality one. Overall worth the price and feels good in the hand.

Best 3d printed case for Heltec lora v3/v4 boards
Hands down the best 3d printed case I have ever seen for any of the Heltec lora v3/v4 boards. I have played with a ton of cases for the Heltec lora boards this fit and design of this case is hands down the best. GREAT 3d printed product.

Worthless product
One star only because no stars wasn’t a choice – this is the worst purchase I’ve ever made. Devise came with no instructions, no step-by-step connection description, no information regarding device-flash requirements, device will not go into pairing mode to connect via bluetooth to my phone. Right now, it’s nothing but a paper weight.

A little bit tight
The case was made from sturdy plastic that gives my board a lot more protection. The fit is snug, and once everything is screwed in, it feels stable and secure. The openings for the antenna, GPS, and Type-C port are precise, so there’s no issue connecting cables or components. I also like the inclusion of the lanyard hole, which makes it easy to carry around when I’m testing outdoors. The green color looks sharp and distinctive, it gives the case a professional yet rugged appearance. The GPS port is especially handy for field work, and I found it convenient when using Meshtastic for location tracking. One small downside is that it can be a bit tight to fit the board in at first, I had to apply a bit of pressure, and I was slightly worried about bending the pins. It’s also not the easiest case to reopen once closed.

Case is well designed, heltec v4 not supported yet
I liked the case, battery, antennas.Other reviews give good hints on assembly. My only concern is lack of programming support for the new v4 board. It is listed in the flasher meshtastic, but getting into DFU mode and lack of arduino ide board support (yet as of October 25,2025) means early adopters may encounter issues.

Good Quality Parts, GPS Module Not Included
Components and case are nice quality. No instructions are included, so you have to know to look up assembly instructions. My order did not come with GPS modules, which seems to be contrary to what the photos and descriptions show. I had hoped to use these immediately after receipt, but I now need to wait to see if the GPS modules were supposed to be included or not, and whether I need to return these units.
