The Bose TV Speaker helps you hear your TV better. It’s a small sound bar that clarifies speech and improves overall TV sound. Inside the TV speaker there are two full-range drivers angled to deliver wide, spacious sound and a center tweeter specifically focused on elevating vocals. Built-in Dolby decoding helps further enhance this compact TV speaker’s audio capabilities to deliver a more realistic and satisfying listening experience. Designed with simplicity in mind, this small soundbar only uses a single connection to the TV via an optical audio cable (included) or an HDMI cable (sold separately) and has you up and running in minutes. At just over 2″ tall, the Bose TV Speaker is a compact sound bar that can be placed just about anywhere. And small LED lights on the front of this small soundbar turn on and/or change color for visual confirmation when certain features are enabled. They also blink in acknowledgement of volume changes. The Bose TV Speaker has HDMI-CEC, which allows the TV and this small soundbar to communicate when connected with an HDMI cable. Meaning when you turn the TV on, the TV speaker will automatically turn on too. With this technology, you can even keep using your current TV remote to control the volume of this compact soundbar. However, the Bose TV Speaker comes with its own remote. And on it, you can enable “dialogue mode” on the TV speaker to elevate vocals even more or press the “bass” button for some extra depth. This compact soundbar also is a Bluetooth soundbar. Simply press the Bluetooth button on the remote to pair your device to this Bluetooth TV speaker and wirelessly stream your favorite music or podcasts. You can also expand your system at any time by adding a wired subwoofer to the Bluetooth TV speaker for a more home-theater-like experience. The Bose TV Speaker is compatible with the Bose Bass Module 500 and 700 and requires the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable or a standard 3.5 mm audio cable, sold separately.

Great Speaker for simple TV to be able to hear words at any age!
Bose TV Speaker works great on my Samsung TV! This is a simple TV hooked up to a DVD player only. Newer movies have such loud music it is hard to hear the actors voices and this speaker handles that like a pro in Dialogue Mode while still improving all sounds.Wish I had bought it years ago!!! Worth every Penney spent on it.Arrived well packaged to prevent damage.Pros – Much improved sound!Get the right cord and anyone can set this up! (Lots of options for cords on the unit. Lots of compatibility.)No Wireless Junk to have to set up. Just plug and go.Cons – No buttons, everything done with a remote.Auto turn on, but no auto turn off.No sound level display on unit to know where you have it turned up to from the last movie.

Easy to set up, great sound
I got this during the recent Amazon days when it was $80 less. This is a great soundbar at that price. Set up was literally taking it out of the box, plugging it in to the wall and then connecting it with the included optical cable and done. Sound is great, doesn’t quite get the deepest bass, but again, this isn’t their high end sound bar. It will turn itself off if the TV isn’t on, which is good for saving power, but a little annoying at times. No where near enough for me though lower it’s rating.

    Nice speaker
Normally I consume audio using my Bose QuietComfort 20 noise-canceling earbuds. I’ve been using those for about six years now, and I used Bose noise canceling headphones before that. I’ve always loved them so much that I’ve never really had much need for PC speakers. So the ones I always used to use cost about 40 dollars. But recently a friend convinced me to get this Bose TV Speaker Soundbar, for my PC.It was effortless to install. I just plugged the optical into my motherboard, which is 4 years old. So I doubt anyone will have issues plugging this in. I don’t know how to scientifically measure the quality of a speaker. I listened to a 20khz sine wave frequency sweep, and I believe I heard all the tones, and there weren’t any dips that I could perceive. Beyond that, I could say that I tried listening to a YouTube video that I had previously only listened to on speakers, many times. And after listening to that same song using this soundbar, I was able to hear parts of the song I hadn’t heard before. The only issue I had with this device is that it turns itself off automatically. So every time I’d go to bed, or take a nap, I’d wake up and have to press the darn button on the remote again. This was frustrating since the speaker takes about 2-3 seconds to boot up. So usually I’d play a YouTube video, realize the sound isn’t on, wait for it to boot, and then need to rewind the video. THANKFULLY there’s a simple solution I learned about on Reddit for solving this! All I needed to do was (1) turn it on, and (2) hold the power button down on the remote for 5 seconds. Then the LED on the speaker pulsed an amber color, which indicates that “auto off” has been disabled. Hooray! I wish this had been the factory default though.

Good audio quality but lacking key features
This soundbar had very good audio for the price, however I ended up returning for two reasons: it didn’t have wired ethernet connectivity, and it didn’t have an LCD display so you couldn’t tell what was going on (what volume it was set to, etc.).Pros:– Has a dedicated Dialogue Mode for making voices stand out from background noise and music.– Its small footprint fits easily under most TVs without being obtrusive.– Very easy to connect and get running, typically just one cable.– Has a balanced, rich sound for its size, typical of Bose audio.– Convenient for streaming music from your phone.Cons:– While it has a bass boost, it won’t deliver room-shaking bass without the optional subwoofer.– Designed for enhanced stereo, not immersive surround sound effects.– Lacks advanced features like Wi-Fi, ethernet, or multiple HDMI inputs found on other soundbars.– No Display – status lights are present, but a full text display would be helpful for modes/volume.Overall it was a decent sound bar, but for the price I ended getting a JBL 300 sound bar because it sounded just as good, and had all the features that I wanted (in particular the ethernet port and the LCD display that the Bose lacked).

Bose is Boss!! Bose is THE Best!!
I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! The setup was seamless and truly plug-and-play, making it a perfect addition to my home theatre. The sound quality is excellent—clear, powerful, and immersive. Bluetooth functionality is a standout feature, allowing me to connect my TV, projector, and phone simultaneously and switch between them effortlessly.I had considered the Sonos Ray, but the lack of Bluetooth connectivity was a dealbreaker. This product not only delivered on that but exceeded my expectations by making the experience smooth, flexible, and enjoyable.Delivery was prompt—actually ahead of schedule—and the multilayered packaging ensured everything arrived in perfect condition.Pros:-Excellent, immersive sound quality-Simple plug-and-play setup-Reliable Bluetooth with multiple device connections-Flexible switching between TV, projector, and phone-Delivered ahead of time and well-packagedCons:- None so far — works flawlessly and better than alternatives I considered

I bought this sound bar from Amazon, but after receiving it, I got some concerns about the product and warranty.Apart from an Amazon shipping label to my name, it also had another shipping label saying: “Shipped from Bose replacements and returns” to AmazonWhat? Is it a refurbished unit? Do I have a warranty on it?A call to Bose Canada confirmed that the unit is new and it has a one year warranty starting from the date of purchase. Amazon is a reseller for Bose.If that wasn’t the case, I would have returned it and bought the same model from Bose Canada (Same price and free shipping). They also have refurbished ones with a full year warranty for $50 less.I am very happy with the unit.I like the function “Dialog mode” as it greatly improve the clarity of dialogue and vocals in movies. There is plenty of Bass for watching a movie or a concert. There is a port to connect an extra subwoofer but IT HAS TO BE A BOSE UNIT and they are very expensive.Few comments:I wanted to place the sound bar on the back of my TV, but, as the remote uses infrared(IR) to communicate with the bar, it has to be in line of sight.I plugged it to an HDMI(ARC) TV output and the great thing is that the sound bar automatically turns ON when I start the TV and shuts down when I turn the TV OFF (The sound bar is monitoring the signal from its HDMI input). Using the TV’s HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port allows you to use your TV remote to control the power, volume, and mute functions of the sound bar.If using Bluetooth, my TV (LG) remote controls the output volume of the sound bar.I see people complaining about the lack of volume control from the TV remote when using the optical cable. This has nothing to do with Bose: The optical signal of a TV cannot control the volume on any device. It only send sound signal.
