10. The 13km transmission distance can only be achieved under the FCC standard when measured without interference in an open outdoor environment. The above data shows the farthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights under each standard. During your flight, pay attention to RTH reminders on the goggles screen.
11. Measured using 1080p/100fps video transmission, tested outdoors in an open interference-free environment.
12. DJI Avata 2 is factory set to automatically perform Return to Home (RTH) if the drone signal is disconnected, and users can change the setting to hover or land before takeoff according to the actual flight scenario.
13. If the 5.8GHz frequency band is not available (such as in Japan), screen sharing to the smartphone via Wi-Fi is not available. To achieve this function, a wired connection is recommended. Before flying, check and confirm local radio and aviation laws and regulations.
14. Tested in an open outdoor environment free of interference. The video transmission distance varies with the operating environment.
15. The power loop feature has a fixed radius and speed, which cannot be altered. The loop radius is set at 5 meters, and the minimum effective height is 1.5 meters.

One of the Most Fun Drones I’ve Ever Flown
Because of the impending DJI embargo in the U.S., I decided to buy a second Avata 2 so that I have a full set of spare parts. This is an incredibly fun drone to fly. The FPV experience is absolutely immersive and gives you a real sense of being in the pilot’s seat.I also use this drone in my real estate photography business. It’s great for cinematic-style shots since the camera can tilt and pan. If you want dramatic reveals, dive shots, or sweeping ascents, this drone handles them beautifully. However, for smooth gimbal-style footage, you’ll want something different, such as the DJI Mavic or the Mini 4 Pro. Right now, I use the Skyrover X1 for those gimbal-based shots since it’s a good DJI clone that fills that need. The Avata 2 is quick, responsive, and rock-solid in the air. The three-battery combo gives me plenty of flight time for extended filming sessions, and swapping batteries is simple and fast.Pros:Immersive FPV flying experienceGreat for cinematic camera anglesExcellent build qualityLong flight time with the three-battery comboPerfect for dramatic motion shots and revealsCons:Not ideal for smooth, gimbal-style filmingBatteries drain quickly when flying aggressivelySummary:The DJI Avata 2 is one of the most enjoyable drones I’ve ever flown. It’s fast, responsive, and perfect for creative cinematic shots or just flying for fun. It may not replace a gimbal drone for professional footage, but it adds a thrilling new dimension to drone photography.

Quality Fun Drone With Awesome 4K Video
To start with, I own the original DJI Phantom 4K drone. It is a beast, reliable and still works perfectly. I just hate having to connect to a tablet or phone each and every time. Plus the size, it’s far from portable. I wanted a drone that was portable, quick and easy to setup each time with great video picture and of course, it had to be DJI.I was hesitant on this one as I also want the Air 3S when it comes out, if it comes out to the mass market in the U.S. I went ahead and picked this Avata 2 and got the Fly More Combo Pack with 3 batteries. This is the best way to buy this as you will use the extras it comes with and will save over $150 from buying the extras seperately.Even though I own a DJI drone, there was still a bit of a learning curve. My main appeal for this drone was the FPV Goggles you get with it. I am used to a tablet or phone and never used goggles. Man, it is a whole new world. I have used this drone only a few times due to our great Oregon rainy weather, and flying with goggles is so much different. You are part of the flight and not just on the sidelines. The hardest part is learning the distance of the drone from trees, people and surroundings you can’t see. You basically see what is in front of you, above you or below you, depending on how you point the camera. It’s pretty awesome, but it does take some getting used to. start slow and cautious and be in an open area to start. Have a chair as some people may not be able to stand well as again, you feel you are part of the drone.Joystick is a love/hate relationship. It is new and I am still learning it… a little. I went ahead and bought the RC Controller 3 si i can use manual mode as well as familiar control similar to my Phantom. A beginner that has never used a controller may get used to it faster, but for myself, it is a real challenge. I wish they included the controller and not the joystick. Note: You need to use the joystick for ARCO meneuvers. These are the flips and such. The drone itself is very small compared to my Phantom and is very light. Handles very well and easy to control. The uodating and binding (linking) the drone, controller and/or joystick and goggles was pretty easy. You can use either joystick or controller and if you want to switch, you can do it without programming. The Avata 2 is pretty quiet, quick and very responsive.Battery time states 23 minutes….yeah, in a perfect world. Batteries last me about 17-18 minutes of flight time. That’s really not too bad as I shoot 4K video continually and up/down alot as well fast top speed runs. I have only shot 4K 60fps and it is clear, beautiful videos. All and all, this is an awesome and fun drone. Again, get the extra batteries ‘Fly More Combo’ as you will need them. This combo pack also has a 3 battery charger which makes it easy to charge your batteries. The case it comes with is really good quality and can fit everything inside it, including the extra controller. Overall I rate this drone a 4.5 right now. Had it come with the controller instead of joystick, it would be a solid 5. Highly recommend it.Oh, I am planning on also getting the Air 3S still. I love shooting video and that one has a top of line camera. I am not complaining on this included camera though. It shoots great video. Don’t pay more than the $1199 SRP though for this set. I see some outrageous pricing….

A compact solution – Great addition for the run and gun film maker
At first I did not like this drone and felt I should have stuck with the conventional drones ( like my AUTEL 6k drone I crashed and replaced with this at half the price) and not gone with FVP – There are a couple of moves I love to do with the conventional drone I’ve not been able to master on this drone yet – But now I am finally mastering this drone , I have to say its s lot of fun, kind of like a video game experience if your into flying games. (Starfox is the last video game I played : giving away my age)PRO’s A fair price / compact and easy to travel with – very little weight / an easy unit to start and get up in the sky / LOVE the on board memory – no fiddling around with cards, although you have that option / Very well constructed : hit a tree the drone fell over in the forest, I thought “it’s a wrap” I double clicked the take off button, and the drone was on it’s side I could see from the angle of the camera , and somehow this little sucker started up took flight, wrestled its way through branches and twigs etc and I managed to get it back in the sky and return home (impressive) so it’s pretty indestructible in my experience thus far – a great design with the propellers being encased.CONS: because it is very light it feels like a cheap toy, but that may be also it’s strength, but it does not handle windy skies like a heavier drone, when your flying it looks like it’s wobbling around but when I check the footage it’s not as bad so maybe there is some internal gimble thing happening that’s adjusting for that. I can’t seem to do a full Birdseye shot parallel to the ground without the camera filming a corner of the propellers in the shot.OVERALL : a great drone for the price and amazing for sports and flying like a jet pilot speeding towards a roof top and you can zoom right over the top accurately missing the roof by inches. Even with a 6k drone in my travel rig for the cinematic shots sweeping around spinning in a circle, while turning angles etc – this done has it’s own applications so it’s apple and oranges and there will be times you can fly this drone into one window of a house and out the other widow a lot easier than a larger drone. And the images are crisp . I will get my monies worth out this drone for sure = good job DJI

I was not sure between camera drones and FPVs. The best candidates were Mini 4 Pro/Air 3 & Avata 2. They all have the same O4 signal system. Mini and Air drones has advantages in their camera, 360 obstacle avoidance feature (useful in manual use and vital when autonomous tracking) . All have same camera features but Mini 4 Pro has 4K vertical shot and Air 3 has a second 3X zoom lens. Air has bigger body close to Mavic series and around 750 grams where Mini is 259 and Avata is 370 grams. Heavy drones are much more stable in windy air. Avata has VR style googles which is excellent part of the fun. You feel you are flying. With this device you can control the camera view with head movements as well.
