Worked quickly with my phone and app
Quickly connected to my Pixel 6 and Dr Prius and Car Scanner Pro. Very low profile and extremely great value. Was easily read by my app and performed functions. I recommend not keeping any obd dongle attached permanently. It drains the battery and may become non functional.

Bought in 2018, 5 years later still works great with daily use Chevy Volt
Bought in August of 2018, nearly 5 years later still works great with daily use on my 2013 Chevy Volt clearing those pesky error codes that prevents charging or whatever! Compatible with Android apps; Carista for clearing codes, MyGreenVolt, MyVoltCapacity, MyVoltMyBodyDiag, Opel Ampera E Pro to monitor car data.A must have for any modern vehicle. The product may be different than what I bought in 2018, who knows, whether software, hardware revision or not at all but the 1 is ELM327 1.5 compatible via the ‘ELM327 Identifier’ android app.Does not seem to have a deep sleep function as it is always slightly warmer than ambient even after days of not driving car. Perhaps because it always sees the bluetooth connection to my phone not sure. Has not resulted in a dead lead acid battery but it is something to be mindful of if you don’t drive for a few days you may want to charge the vehicles’ battery or disconnect it from the port.

Good enough for my needs, but not for a pro.
I desperately needed an OBDII scanner but refused to spend a lot of money. Android scanner apps warn against getting cheaper knockoff adapters because of inaccurate readings, and an older outdated protocol.Using Torque Pro, some tests were unavailable, but everything worked fine as far as checking/clearing codes, collecting data, monitoring sensors, etc. This is adequate for the average shade tree mechanic, but professionals won’t bother.A positive note however, it’s short enough to not interfere with the emergency brake pedal like my SyncUP DRIVE does.

Good product, good price.
Great product. Fantastic with Torque pro. Easy to set up and connects fast. Maybe works too well. My dash gauges went out a month after I bought this. Temporarily mounted an old tablet in front of the gauges and set up a Torque dashboard. That was 3 months ago. I really should get the gauges fixed but this has let me be lazy and put it off. One warning, you can’t leave this plugged in with the car off for long, like overnight. It’ll drain your battery because the Bluetooth radio hunts for a signal constantly. Oh. It does really well with check engine codes too. That’s what I really bought it for and it works like a charm.

Works great and pairs with my Pixel 8 without issue.
I bought this to use with the Torque app and it works great. It paired with my phone without issue and is completely compatible with Torque.

Worked great, for a couple months
I got this so I could have gauges on my LS swap for cheap using my phone. It worked great, and even helped me fix my wife’s car and another of my cars. After sitting in my LS swapped car for about 3 weeks I came to start it up and check the gauges and I couldn’t connect to my phone. I checked the port, checked my other car as well as my wife’s car. It doesn’t connect to any of them. Guess I’ll find a better one.

OBDII Dongle
Great alternative to driving to the parts house or shop. More extensive diagnostics than similar tools. Extremely easy to use.

CAUSES CAR TO FREAK OUT WHILE RUNNING!!!
It works great for viewing and erasing trouble codes, but I would not use it for real time info when I plug it into my 1996 buick park avenue, when my car is running, it will cause my car to attempt to stall. The rpms drop suddenly and the entire dash glitches and flickers lights. I unplug it from the car and it instantly stop, and I go to plug it back in and the car freaks out again. Idk if it’s just a faulty one or what. But it did it to me on the highway when I was going 80mph and then out of no where lost all power and almost caused an accident. If someone from Mestart could explain this I would be very greatful.
