Nest WiFi 6 pro (4 Pack, Snow) (Renewed)

Refurbished? Maybe not.
The description said refurbished, but I couldn’t tell these from new except that I saved about $170. They were in the original box and had no flaws or blemishes. The description said WiFi 6 but I knew they would be 6e. I had a little trouble setting up 1 of the 4 devices. I had the same experience with the previous 4 Pro devices, so I wasn’t surprised. 6+ factory resets and it finally decided to connect to my Google Home. Very happy!

Disappointing Performance Despite Premium Price
Major Setup Issues and Significant Speed Loss — I purchased this 4-pack of renewed Google Nest WiFi 6 Pro units expecting enterprise-grade mesh performance, but the experience has been largely frustrating.Setup Nightmare — The initial pairing and setup process was incredibly time-consuming and problematic. What should have been a straightforward mesh network installation turned into hours of troubleshooting. For a premium product, the setup experience was unacceptably complex.Severe Speed Degradation — This is where the product really fails to deliver. My Xfinity gigabit connection (typically 1000 Mbps) drops dramatically to just 200-300 Mbps when connected through the Nest system – that’s a 70-80% speed reduction right at the primary router. This kind of throughput loss is simply unacceptable for a WiFi 6 Pro system.Distance Performance is Terrible — The speed degradation over distance is even worse:- Expect approximately 50% speed reduction every 10 meters from the primary router- At 30-40 meters with direct line of sight and units connected linearly, speeds dropped to around 50 Mbps- Add any walls or obstacles, and performance becomes nearly unusableWhat Works — Once finally set up, the system does provide stable connectivity within close range of the primary unit. The Google Home app integration works as expected for basic management.Bottom Line — For the premium price point, this mesh system severely underperforms. The combination of setup difficulties, massive speed losses, and poor distance performance makes it hard to recommend. If you need reliable high-speed internet throughout a larger home, look elsewhere. The “renewed” status might explain some issues, but fundamental performance problems like 70-80% speed loss suggest deeper design limitations rather than just refurbishment quality.Would I buy again? Absolutely not.Would I recommend? Only if you have very modest speed requirements and a small space.

I can now hide in the closet and watch Instagram thirst traps in peace
WiFi is crispy at every corner of the house as well as the pack yard. Solid signal, and good bitrate.

Decent upgrade from Gen 2
I replaced my Nest Gen 2 with this hoping for faster speeds and more coverage. I had 5 units of the gen 2 to cover my house and am getting satisfactory coverage now with 4 of the pros. They look nice and connection is good. I did have a restart the units seemingly once a week.

Better in everyway over the the Nest 2nd Gen.
Just replaced my 2g Google WIFI Ntwk with the 3g Google Nest wifi Pro. I went from 5 points to 4 points, including the router. I moved to a bigger house, and the old system was dropping offline and not streaming well at the far end of the house, which is the farthest away from the modem. I am on comcast and 800-900mg at the router. The new system is 3x faster in the more remote parts of the house. It is also much more stable. 100% recommend upgrading. The only downside is losing the speaker capability in the 2g system.
