Our Mission Statement
Take out the classic consoles and get them set up in the simplest way for modern displays that are omitting old cable hookups.
This is an affordable & convenient option to get good video quality when it comes to retro gaming.
Go back and experience all the things you missed as a kid: the games, the consoles, the controllers.
Why RGB?
RGB brings the best possible visual experience out of classic PS1/PS2 (PlayStation1/PlayStation2).
So you can see the more defined colors, the clearer graphics and the sharper pictures when using RGB, compared with using AV.
The example describes RGB vs typical display methods (S-Video, composite, RF) is looking through a clean glass window vs a dirty one.
Make sure “Component Video Out” on PS2 menu is chosen to “RGB” mode or image can be tinted green because this cable need to utilize RGB signal.
Manual Adjustment on TV
This cable has been specifically calibrated for PS1/PS2.
However, final output doesn’t only depend on the cable quality but the games you are playing and television quality.
Try to adjust the backlight, brightness, dynamic setting or other parameters on TV if you want to improve the display more.

Don’t let your tv’s missing composite a/v inputs be the reason you don’t play your ps2!
Purchased this cable to be able to use my old fat PS2 to connect to my Samsung frame television. I was able to directly connect the cable into my PS2 and then into my tv’s HDMI port without any adapters. The cable upscales the video output of the HDMI to fill the screen of my 55″ tv. The quality of the image is great! I’ve been able to play my old PS2 games and see them clearly on my tv that was lacking composite a/v inputs. Would recommend!

They work!
I recently bought a new 2025 model Samsung Q8F 4k 120hz tv, and it does not have any composite/component inputs that I can see. I was planning originally to mod my ps2 slim with the hispeedido hdmi kit, (still may) however the more I researched into the ps2 hdmi conversion kits, the more confusing it got! Ultimately, you can spend a lot of money on a scaler or hdmi mod (retrotink/retrogem) but for someone that just wants a plug and play solution this cable is pretty awesome! The picture is surprisingly good, and theres no install needed, just plug it in! The colors are good for the most part, I have noticed some cut scenes/ into scenes here and there can have a bit too much green, red, or blue tint. For example I am playing grand turismo 3 currently and have noticed the green blue and red colors during the introduction scenes, but looks pretty great during game play.I believe my television has a built in AI upscaling feature that may be affecting the final results, and your results may vary from mine however my experience so far is overwhelmingly positive. Thank you levelhike for the handy cables!

Doesn’t work properly on Sony TV
I bought this hdmi converter to use on my Sony TV since it’s in my bedroom. It unfortunately looked weird (as seen on the images how the left is stretched over to the right). The image is also unstable (constantly shaking left and right) as well as the controller feeling slightly delayed at times. I could never figure out the fix, or why it was like this, so I gave up. I emailed levelhike too, and they were very friendly about it, but they also haven’t gotten back to me with a definitive answer as to why it doesn’t work properly for my Sony TV. I’ve seen another review on Amazon (as well as a few comments on youtube) that this hdmi also didn’t work properly for their Sony TVs and it’s just strange and frustrating. Anyway, I have a Samsung TV in the living room so I decided I might as well try it out there. Turns out it worked perfectly fine on that TV. Absolutely no issues with the image, and the controller feels more responsive. I feel like it even looked sharper/more clear too. For some reason, it looked a little off and blurry on my Sony but again I don’t know why. Maybe the other brand, Hyperkin, might work better with Sony TVs but I don’t know as I have yet to try it out. I gave this 4 stars because of how great it was to finally play my PS2 again after many years in storage. I really want to give it 5 stars, but since it doesn’t work on my Sony TV, and since levelhike hasn’t emailed me back with an answer to my question (I asked if they thought it was Sony themselves that lacked support for these types of cables) then I just have to give it 4 stars. I’ll try to update my review if they ever get back to me about what they think as it seems like an ongoing issue. But I will say that I actually bought their other hdmi converter for Gamecube, and it surprisingly worked pretty good on my Sony TV. The image quality was a little worse than PS2 (to be expected) but I had no issues at all with that one.Edit: I tried the other brand, Hyperkin, but it unfortunately had the exact same issues. I will say that maybe Hyperkin looked slightly sharper with the image compared to Levelhike, but the only drawback is that you can’t use your own Hdmi to plug into, it already comes with one and it’s a medium size in case anyone wanted to get one.Edit 2: just wanted to update that I’ve been trying other HDMI converters to see which work on my Sony TV. So far the only one that has properly worked is one called ElectronPulse. You can buy it through their website which I did so I’m not sure if its sold elsewhere. If you’ve been having the same issue as me, this might be the solution. I see that they’re out of stock on their website as of now, so definitely keep a lookout if you want to try it.Edit 3: In my continued search to try more HDMI converters (to try and find the best), I watched a few videos online and someone had recommended Kaico’s PS2 HDMI, which you can find on Amazon. I wasn’t expecting much because I heard a lot more talk and praise for ElectronPulse (especially since its a higher price). But I was pleasantly surprised because the quality is so much better. I honestly gotta say that Kaico’s PS2 HDMI is so far one of the best one’s I’ve tried. The difference in quality was subtle yet powerful. Colors popped more, blurry textures or images looked more cleaned up, and text was sharper. A bonus is that it worked for both my Samsung and Sony TVs, so I imagine it would work for more brands. I highly recommend anyone to try that one out too. You won’t regret it. As a plus, Zeskit Maya has certified 2.1 8k HDMI cables and those are the best ones I’ve tried compared to basic HDMI cables. I think you’ll be satisfied with your PS2 if you also upgrade your HDMIs also. I’m just trying to find the absolute best quality for the PS2 (without breaking the bank like a lot of high end upscales cost) and so far I’d say Kaico’s PS2 HDMI converter, Zeskit Maya’s 8k HDMI cables, and a decent to good 4k tv is the best.

This worked for my PS1 games
I’m pleased with this product. I had one of those entry level PS2 to HDMI cables that worked fine for most of my games but would not play PS1 games due to the resolution being too low. This cable did the trick though and now my PS1 games get displayed as they should.

It works! Resurrect your old PS1 or PS2!
I purchased this HDMI cable with converter for my PS2 because, apparently, they aren’t putting component connections on the newer TVs. This thing comes with everything you need and took me maybe 2 minutes to plug in and setup. When I first turned it on there was a lot of green in the display, but following the directions that came with the product, I was easily able to change the output on the PS2 to RGB so the image looked correct with full color. I haven’t had this item very long, but so far it has helped me to resurrect my old console, and now my 7yo and I are reliving all the glory of early 2000’s gaming. What’s even better? NONE of my old games have asked me to update nor require the internet to exist. Happy Gaming MF’s!
