    This is a PERFECT product
This is my first Ultra Short Throw projector. I’ve only had it for a week so can’t comment on longevity, but OMG, what a fantastic product. We are using it on a great room wall with the traditional contractor off-white paint that had a mirror and a couple of paintings on it. I figured I’d see whether the image was any good and would either return the unit or maybe upgrade with a projector screen. The image is STUNNING. After a little bit of adjustment on the leveler feet, the keystone, and the focus, every part of the image is crystal clear. If displaying an exact image like a spreadsheet grid there is some deformation of the image due to the imperfections in the drywall, soa true cinephile no doubt wants a fancy, expensive, ALR screen, but for watching Netflix or sports after dinner it is unnoticeable. Before setting it up I had also read about special paint and was thinking I would need to spackle the nail holes from the mirror and paintings and repaint the wall but that’s completely unnecessary. There were comments about the sound quality being mediocre, but the sound quality of the built in speakers is great, although I am not using them (see below). One thing that I hadn’t anticipated is that this isn’t merely a large TV, it turns watching into a fully immersive experience. Watching sports it feels like you’re courtside.A few notes. I wasn’t sure if I would return it because I was skeptical of the picture quality. So, the former 80″ TV is on the opposite wall. It is mounted above an AV “cabinet.” The whole setup includes a Denon receiver and Klipsch surround sound speakers. I had originally thought that I would mount the projector on some sort of table or stand, but to maximize the image size it is on the floor so that the bottom of the image is just above the outlets and the top of the image is an inch below the 10′ ceiling. The point is that to maximize the image size there is no good way to have equipment in any sort of normal AV cabinet, so it either needs to be somewhere away from the unit or on the floor. This also means that you need to have some agility to adjust the levelers because they are on the floor. I also feel like one would need to build some sort of fence around the unit if there were infants or toddlers around. In a greenfield install things might be easier, but I left the receiver where it was so now have an Amazon Fire TV cube on the floor next to the Hisense, then a 50′ digital optical cable running to the receiver, then had to switch front and rear speakers to use the wires running from the Denon to the rear speakers to become the front speakers. I’m not sure what to do about the center speaker. I had thought there was a way to use the Hisense built-in speakers as the center speaker but that may have been for a competing product as I don’t see that option in the audio set-up.The only thing that is not intuitive is that some options are accessible through “settings,” but others (like keystone) are only accessible through the “menu” button on the remote.I have no experience with the competition, so don’t know if this is worse, the same, or better. All I know is that it is a fantastic product. Another reviewer wrote about a rainbow effect. I had to Google that to see what it was, and now knowing what it is I haven’t experienced it.Lastly, my girlfriend remarked that it is a lot to spend on a TV. That is true. HOWEVER, assuming a ten year life, the cost works out to roughly a couple of dollars per day. Given that it’s our entertainment most evenings after dinner, this is roughly on par with, say, half of a Starbucks coffee every day and per week, less than a glass of wine or cocktail on a Saturday night out.

Good replacement projector. Upgrade for sure
I bought this to replace my old Dell short throw projector and this one is way better. I like the google apps on it. It powers up faster and is quieter. The 4k is better as well. It’s an expensive investment but I am happy with it. I do have one small issue with the eARC between the stereo and projector though. Not sure if it is a stereo problem or a projector problem. The timing on the powerups for the two devices is off so the projector wont recognize the stereo unless it is powered on first. A future feature could include a way to set a delay on the eARC or something. Its al fairly minor issue though and likely just a problem with my setup.

    Bright crisp color
The picture from this projector is amazing. Pricey but worth it. Right now I am showing it on a white wall while I complete construction on my home theater. Picture size I am using is 135 inch 16X9. Can’t wait to add the UST screen

    Great projector
Love this. The short throw nature is spectacular. Picture quality as well above their lower end models. It’s immediately noticeable. eARC connectivity to the sound bar works well and the 2 HDMI keeps me from changing cables from my Xbox and switch 2.

    Worth every penny
I can not be more happy with this device. It is excellent for Xbox. FIFA and NFL looks extremely good and realistic. Image is flawless.

Can’t get past the rainbow effect
The projector is top of the line, is very bright and has beautiful colors but I’m returning the one I just bought because the rainbow effect is making me sick. I used to have an LG HU85LA which does not show a rainbow effect and changing to this one is hard. I didn’t know I was susceptible to rainbow effect.. I didn’t even know what it was before this projector because I had never experienced it before

    Good but not great
It is good but not awesome. Defitnly better for 200” screen than 120”. Not that clear resolution as spected for that price.

Was enjoying it while it lasted. Bought it end of July. By Sept 10th it stopped turning on. Currently trying to reach Hisense Canada to see my options. Last time i buy anything from Hisense. Happened to our tv as well. Only last 7 months. You expect better quality for something that costs 3K.

Exceeded my expectations, at 150″ this projector on power saving mode is so much brighter, clearer and colors more vivid than my Epson 5040ub bulb projector at 120″ on high power. Projecting on to a flat pure white painted wall. Even in daylight, the picture is very good. Must look amazing on a proper ust screen, maybe one day I’ll get one.

This thing is amazing. Way better than my 4k 80 inch TV. I can get a bigger screen right on my wall and the picture is crisp and the colors are vibrant. And it doesn’t break the bank like some other 4k projectors out there. Highly recommended.

It seemed the tech support is not trained at all on projectors, not even factory reset offered.
