Johnny 5 is a live… Lego missed out on this one
Very nice kit. No missing parts, the instructions were mostly clear. If you love the movie Short Circuit and Johnny Number 5 you would love this build. More of a display then a RC…parts fall off. I bought for the size.

80’s Nostalgia
Some of the pieces wouldn’t stick together well, such as the side plates on the tracks so I left those off. For me I wouldn’t chance using movement such as the remote control but it looks quite well sitting on a shelf.

Take your time and identify each part
It is a very fun project to build. Attention to each part is critical however. Everything is in pictures with no written instructions and its easy to place a part in the wrong position due to 2 parts being similar with only the slightest of difference. It is definitely for advanced builders .

Missing parts
I received this as a gift and I was so excited to assemble it. I was on step 143 and I realized that I am missing 1x-7. I thought ai could do with out it and then I reached 147 and I am also missing 1x #3 1:1. This is very frustrating because there is no number to contact to get extra parts.

Buildable Johnny 5 that’s RC- What more could you want?!
If you were a big fan of the Short Circuit films from the 80’s, and a Lego/Building Block Kit fan, ABSOLUTELY get this set! I’ve always wanted a toy/rc version of Johnny 5 ever since I saw Short Circuit 2, and boy does this deliver. Sure people are able to produce replicas now with 3d printing and such but it comes at a hefty cost, this does not.I think the price is totally worth it for what you get! I’ve read some reviews here talking about how parts were missing and the numbered bags didn’t go with how the instructions say. They must have updated this product some because I had no issues at all. As big of a Lego nut as I am it takes a lot to impress me with knock-off stuff. I’ve had other sets in the past like Mega Bloks and such and you can tell the quality is way different from Lego. I cannot say that with this set. I am VERY impressed with the brick quality, besides obviously the Lego logo missing from the bricks, you cannot tell a difference quality wise between Lego and this off brand set.Of course the fact that it’s RC is another perk! I recieved and finished the build yesterday and I love it! Sure some of the colors are weird using sand blue bricks for a silver/grey robot but it looks just like Johnny 5. Whoever designed this knew what they were doing with the details. I plan on doing some mods of my own, but even as is, this is an awesome product.If you have doubts about buying this, I can assure you it’s worth it and it’s top notch. Absolutely no regrets buying this. Everything down to the instructions and numbered bags is nothing less than what I would expect from Lego themselves.

Johnny Number 5 is alive!
I absolutely love this set. It has become one of the centerpieces for my Legos at work. The controller moves the tracks as well as allowing head movement. I was always a huge Johnny 5 fan and this was a fun build.
