Very nice but measure your objective
You definitely need to measure your scope outside diameter before ordering, at the very least choose the next size up than what you think you need. I purchased the 54-61 mm size for a 56 mm scope and it was way too small. I did get it on the scope but it was difficult and it actually reduced the effective objective diameter.I removed it and tried it on a 50 mm objective scope that I had on another rifle and it fit perfect. So I bought the 61-66 mm and tried it again on my Vortex 56 mm and it works great, I’m very happy with these caps.Although I struggled a bit with my first order it has nothing to do with Monstrum as they tell you in their listing to measure your objective, I just assumed that the number for their product would match the size of my scope. Are there better products out there, sure. Will you find a quality cap with a kill flash for $20, I think not.

Measure correctly for the right cap
It’s great! Unfortunately, I purchased for the end of the scope. But that’s OK. The diffuser comes out. The cap fits really great and the flips up extremely well. I did buy the correct end for my scope that has a diffuser. I’m sure it will be just fine. Monstrum tactical never fails.

ripped sleeve. im a victim now. AND brittle killflash
like many here. the rubber sleeve that holds your scope ripped open for me. So i try to salvage it and at least use the killflash by itself without the sleeve. But, even the killflash is brittle. I was handling it and I was holding onto the honeycomb and it cracked down the center. Luckily it isnt cheap but alot of monstrum products have failed me so far. including there 45 picatinny mount that is a bit too big to grasp my ar. so its loose.Yes, i did measure my scope size, and yes i found another killflash for $20.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to.
The soft rubber sleeve fits snugly over the outside of the scope housing. It can be a little bit of a struggle if you have camo tape or any rubber on the exterior of the scope, but you’ve only got to do it once. Be sure to unscrew the honeycomb grid before you install the cap. If you push on it you can break it.Nice, cost effective solution when you’ve got scopes that don’t come with their own covers.

Snug, works well, and disrupts glare
The Monstrum caps are a rubber body which slips onto the end of the lens you are trying to shade with a spring loaded hinged cap. The thing to know is how to size it correctly. I had a 30mm diameter tube, and was trying to figure out if the cap I should use was the one starting at 30mm, or the one ending there. The correct answer is the one ending there. Yes, that makes the cap very snug when scooting it onto the scope, but it means it doesn’t shift or start sliding off when uncapping it. In comparison, the larger size cap was sliding off continuously, and so it had to go back. Note, the flash hiders on the optic can be unscrewed to take them off. There’s nothing to keep them attached or prevent them getting lost, or a replacement if you do, so think hard before doing this.
