Fast and reliable cable internet modem
This is an exceptionally good cable modem for use with Xfinity internet service. Very easy to get set up and reliability has so far been very strong.

Best 3.1 High-Split ready modem – Spectrum – Large size
The modem replaced a SB8200 on Spectrum and the firmware V6.01.03 is correctly working on Spectrum. The modem works great and is fast. It is VERY tall/large compared to other non-WiFi standalone modems. The admin page to see signal levels and logs is very annoying to get to work on a PC browser and it is highly recommended to check this page on a mobile device browser. The info provided in the cable connection diagnostic admin page is ample and should satisfy most users for signal diagnostics. The advanced administration tab Event Log provides identical information the Arris models show and is the same a Spectrum tech would have access to with their Scope software for their provided modems. I’m happy with the performance of this modem overall, but as stated already a few nitpicks is the overall size of the modem and the wonky desktop browser access of the admin gui page… really strange.

Great Performance w/Ease of Install & Set-Up
My Motorola MB8611started having recurring internet drops. After much troubleshooting with my ISP (Cox) it became pretty clear the ISP, while not perfect, was not the cause of the recurring/daily signal drops (multiple times a day). I decided to do a Modem Swap out; sorry I waited so long to make the change. I purchased a CM3000 to replace the MB8611, change was noticed immediately. Great speeds (+2 Gbps download) and no drops in last 2 days. Super easy install and great User Interface to check modem status, SNRs, etc. Highly recommended product!

Blazing Fast, Future-Ready Cable Modem for Xfinity
I recently upgraded to the NETGEAR Nighthawk CM3000 DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem, and it has been an exceptional performer for my high-speed internet needs. Here’s my experience:Pros:Supports Top-Tier Speeds: This modem is approved for cable plans up to 2.5Gbps, making it perfect for today’s ultra-fast internet and future-proofing for years to come. My speeds are consistently reliable, with no dips or interruptions, even during peak hours.Broad Compatibility: It works seamlessly with all major cable providers, including Xfinity, Spectrum, and Cox. Activation with Xfinity was a breeze, taking only a few minutes to get up and running.DOCSIS 3.1 Technology: The mid/high-split support ensures better upstream and downstream capabilities, making it ideal for heavy internet users like gamers, streamers, and remote workers.Compact Design: The sleek, vertical design saves space and blends well with my other networking equipment.Cons:No Built-In Wi-Fi: This modem doesn’t include Wi-Fi capabilities, so you’ll need a separate router for wireless connections. For me, this wasn’t an issue since I paired it with some other routersPrice: It’s a bit pricey compared to some other modems, but the performance and future-proofing make it worth the investment.

What a mess!
Well, I bought this in March as my old Netgear modem took a dump (2 years old). It worked great for about 5 months, then it kept dropping the Internet connection.I assumed it was my ISP, so I had them come out multiple times. We finally realized it was my pretty new modem. I contacted Netgear and they helped, but I would write to them, then get a reply a day or 2 later. By this time, I was unplugging it 2-3 times a day and letting it reboot. I couldn’t wait for Netgear to figure out the issue, so I bought an Arris. Problem solved! My connection has been working great since the new modem. This thing was pretty expensive. I couldn’t keep switching modems to answer the questions Netgear was asking. It sounds like their newest O/S update clashes with my ISP, but of course nobody will admit that (Netgear or ISP). So here this expensive modem sits on the floor and Netgear closed out the issue because I couldn’t answer them in 48 hours as I was out of town. No more Netgear for me!

Knighthawk cable modem CM3000 – Waste of Money – Reduced Signal Throughput
Lousy modem! Replaced my Motorola cable modem MB 8600 with the Netgear CM3000 at the recommendation of Xfinity. Worked for 30 days (warrenty done) and nw is weak. Used to get full strong signal throughout my home, but after changing only the cable modem, service is restricted to a few rooms in the house. WASTE of TIME and Money. Netgear provides NO support and neither does Xfinity. Motorola alsways provided support. Will be going back to my Motorola cable modem and consider the Netgear modem is now a $300 brick!

Works great with XFinity Internet
It works preety seamlessly with XFinity Internet. While it’s rated for up to 2 Gbps, XFinity only rates it for up to 1.2 Gbps on their service (though that may just be them trying to get you to rent their garbage hardware). It has a 2.5 GbE port (which is backwards compatible with a standard 1 GbE Ethernet port on the other end) as well as 2 separate regular 1GbE port that can be turned on for LAGG (requires a device on the other end that understands and is configured for LAGG also) so you can do dual channel if you don’t have a 2.5GbE port on the device at the other end (or a 10GbE port and Cat 8 Ethernet cable if you have hardcore network setup). You do have to manually enable the LAGG ports in the settings, otherwise they act like regular individual ports (multiple ports on a modem cannot have multiple client devices connected).Speed on a 1GbE connection is excellent without any overheating or hiccups. It runs extremely stable too, it hasn’t had to be reset at all in the > 1 month I’ve been using it.

Solid Modem
This works as advertised, Only 4 stars the previous one broke after 3 years. This could have been due to an Xfinity blunder, since it broke just as Xfinity was playing with the connection. But I have no way of knowing.I got it because it has voice capability (it is just an Xfinity packaging saving), so most will not be interested in that feature. The non-voice version I would guess, is just as good.Simple to set up (with Xfinity, at least). Not the cheapest, but it does supply the throughoput. In general, a perfectly good product.
