2021 Ford Expedition
I bought this FORScan tool for my 2021 Ford Expedition, and it did exactly what I needed it to do. The first thing for me was retrieving the factory code so I could program the keypad on the side of the door — it pulled the code without issue, which was something a cheaper tool I tried first completely failed at. That alone made this one worth it.The second job was programming new keys. When I bought my Expedition from CarMax, it only came with one key, so I used this tool to delete the old programming and add two new OEM Ford keys. A quick tip from my experience: buy at least two replacement keys. One of mine failed during programming, and I would’ve been in real trouble if I’d only bought one. Thankfully, having a third key saved me from being stuck.The documentation for FORScan can be a little frustrating — you’ll likely end up watching YouTube videos to figure some steps out — but once you get the hang of it, the tool itself is phenomenal. It’s reliable, works exactly as intended, and is the one I’d recommend if you need to handle factory codes or key programming on your Ford.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I heard this was the product to purchase when wanting to interface with a Ford vehicle. They were right. I plugged the unit into the OBDII port and hooked to my laptop. Searched on-line for the drivers, downloaded, installed. Fired up the Forscan app and was in business. It was very quick to set up in the program and when connected to the car, it started providing codes quickly and accurately. What more can one ask, it works perfectly and without spending time trying to figure stuff out. If you are in need of an interface from PC to OBDII, I can recommend this one for sure. (Plus it is not more expensive than one of the cheap ODBII scanners that read only engine codes.)I
