Defective from the Start — Second Unit Also Failed Completely
I purchased this TV in April 2025, mainly for its built-in Fire TV functionality. Unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing from the very beginning. The first unit I received didn’t turn on at all — the screen stayed completely black. I contacted Panasonic support, and although they responded within about 24 hours, their suggestions were limited to very basic troubleshooting (like holding the power button or unplugging the device). In the end, they simply advised me to contact the retailer for an exchange. After replacing it, the second unit at least powered on, but the Fire TV system was extremely slow from the start. The initial update took more than 30 minutes, and a message appeared saying my internet was unusually slow — despite having high-speed Fios service and no issues with other devices. Streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix frequently buffer, freeze, or fail to load, even at low resolutions.Restarting or unplugging the TV temporarily helps, but the problem returns after a few hours. It seems to be a persistent performance issue, possibly due to insufficient memory or a system-level bug in the Fire TV OS.While the panel itself looks good, I cannot recommend this TV for anyone planning to rely on the built-in Fire TV. You may need to add an external streaming device (like a Fire Stick), which defeats the purpose of buying a Fire TV-equipped model in the first place.I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.[Update as of November 1, 2025]After a few months of use, this TV has become completely non-functional.First, the TV started turning itself on randomly, even after being powered off.It would automatically scroll through the channel guide without any user input. Then, the power button on the remote stopped working entirely, although pressing shortcut buttons like “Netflix” or “Prime Video” would still power the TV on.However, any attempt to navigate (e.g., using the Home button or switching apps) now causes the TV to crash and shut off immediately.I performed a full factory reset, unplugged the TV for hours, and even re-paired the remote — nothing worked. This is especially frustrating because this is already my second unit. The first one was completely defective out of the box (black screen), and this replacement has now also failed.Panasonic’s support website doesn’t even recognize the model number when submitting a warranty request. While I have contacted them and provided proof of purchase, the lack of product registration options and their earlier dismissive response raise serious concerns. At this point, I cannot recommend this TV under any circumstances, especially for anyone planning to rely on the built-in Fire TV. The reliability and software support are simply unacceptable.

    Most TV for the buck
The item arrived 4 days early, packaged very well. Install was a breeze. The picture is phenomenal. I went from a 1080p LG to this 4K Panasonic and we were wowed. We’ll definitely buy again!

Kinda slow for a smart TV. Limited because it’s locked into Amazon Fire software
This TV is good, but somewhat limited. It’s an Amazon fire TV- so it’s not a Roku- or a Sony… It’s basically a TV amazon put together on a project with Panasonic. I’ve owned multiple Panasonic over the years. So I had good faith. It is pretty slow, the processor making the TV smart is not awesome. If you are looking for razor thin, nope. Somewhat bulky in the back. Bland. Ordinary… blah… The TV kinda sucks in the world of TVs right now. But it’s what I could afford to hook my Nintendo up to- the write-up said the graphics are good And They Are.. Solid image. Just kinda slow jumping from program to program. And if you are changing apps all together- Forget about it. Slow TV that gets the job done. Value for money? After you buy this, a Pawn shop may offer $20 max…. So that’s the street value of this boob tube.

This TV makes decision for you
I will never purchase a television from Amazon again. I just thought I was getting a television. I did not know Amazon was gonna have their sticky little fingers in every crevice. Amongst other annoyances, there is a sleep timer that cannot be turned off. I don’t tend to sleep with the television on, but I have an occasional houseguest who sleeps through the night with the television on, and the best I can offer her is 240 minutes before it will turn itself off in its own. It also makes the choice to back out of apps if a show is paused too long. If I pause a show, I expect it to stay paused until then sun swallows the earth. If the zombie apocalypse hits, yet the power and Wi-Fi are for some reason still running, I expect that show to stay paused while I am being consumed by a throng of the dead. I do not appreciate Amazon making these choices for me, and I wish I had noticed these horribly inconvenient and intrusive features before it was too late to send it back.It also randomly switches from the streaming serving I’m watching to Amazon music or photos without any prompting, and last week it purchased a $14.99 movie without my involvement. Amazon refunded it, but what if I hadn’t caught it?

    Disappointed
The TV from Panasonic is great but the fire TV is same as always most movies are locked which is bad that’s why I bye companies that stream for themselves they are better than Amonzon, Amonzon should make most movies free and unlock them disappointed in Amonzon Tv.
