I got the Wi-Fi Keyless Entry Door Lock for my front door a few weeks ago, and honestly? I didn’t think I’d be this impressed by a deadbolt 😅. I just wanted something that worked with Alexa and didn’t need a hub, but this thing turned out to be way more useful than I expected.First off, the installation was super easy. I’m not exactly a DIY expert, but I managed to get it installed with just a screwdriver and the instructions in the box. Took me maybe 20–25 minutes tops. The app walks you through the setup step-by-step, and it’s pretty foolproof. No drilling or complicated wiring, which was a relief.The built-in WiFi is a total gamechanger. I can lock and unlock the door from my phone, even when I’m not home. I’ve let in my dog walker, a delivery guy, and even my neighbor when I forgot to leave the spare key. It’s just so convenient. No need for a separate bridge or hub, which is awesome.Now let’s talk about the unlocking options—this thing gives you choices:Fingerprint sensor that’s super fast and accurate (like under 0.3 seconds fast)Passcode keypad with anti-peep protectionPhysical key backup just in caseVoice control via Alexa or Google AssistantAnd of course, remote unlock through the appI’ve set up fingerprints for my whole family, and it works flawlessly. No fumbling for keys or remembering codes. You can also create up to 100 custom passcodes, which is great for guests or cleaners. Not bad but could be better
I liked this lock but ended up returning it. It is great that it came as a complete set at a good price, and it looks nice. Installation was fairly straightforward but note that the handleset is shorter than others so you may need to drill a new hole for it to be installed. The lock itself works quite well; is fast and easy to operate. The keypad is very clear and easy to use; the key entry is hidden behind the fingerprint scanner, so it has a nice clean, simple look.However, I had several difficulties causing me to return it. First, You have to download and use a separate app which does not sync with my alarm network (Ring) – not terrible but could be better. Second, the fingerprint scanner did not work – it would simply not accept my fingerprints and the app repeatedly told me to reinstall the lock. And third, even though it says you can use Alexa to control it, the lock was never able to be recognized or controlled by Alexa.It is entirely possible that the technical issues I experienced could be overcome thru conversations with both Philips and Ring tech support but I decided if it was that difficult I didn’t want to have to deal with it, so I returned it and purchased a different brand of smart lock which easily connected to my alarm system and is easily controlled thru Alexa.

Overpriced under performed
Continues to disconnect from WiFi so doesn’t work most of the time. I have submitted a request to the Philips and the helped me to get it to work once for a few days and then disconnected from WiFi again. Not worth the money. Would not recommend to anyone that is looking for an automatic lock.

Worth the money!!!
I love this lock!!! The sleek and elegant look is sexy. The app at first glance looks a bit difficult but is was very simple and easy to navigate and I am not the most tech savvy. You will not be disappointed.
