Good solar charger to keep batteries up
I installed this to keep my golf cart battery charged when it sits for several weeks. It is mounted on my shed roof facing west. My cart is fuel injected so unless the battery is disconnected there is some draw when not in use. Since installing the solar charger I have not had any issues even leaving the cart idle for 6 – 8 weeks.

The size was just right. Since I received it last OCT it has mainly been keeping my riding mower charged during the winter months. It was a relief when the mower would start after periods of not being used.As far as it’s functionality it surpassed my requirements.I especially liked the magnetic panel holders as they allowed me to place the panel in various locations.Unfortunately, a misstep resulted in the panel being pulled off an outdoor shelf It was on and it fell approximately 5′ and the panel shattered.I held the panel up and the indicators lights on the back are still functional. I do not know how this will affect the waterproofing of the charger itself.I will continue to use it to see if it survives the next rain shower. I have extended the cord to it’s maximum and the panel is away from flammable materials. I hope it’s still a hard little worker even if cosmetics are horrible.

Would not charge the battery. I know I had it hooked up right. Then the wires broke randomly!! It is cheap and not a good product. Look else where! Bunch of money done the drain.

I purchased one of these previously and installed it on an old Oliver tractor. Easy installation and I never need to use a booster battery.

Needs a better MPPT controller, can’t fully charge my battery
This technically works, very very slowly, but I would suggest something with a better MPPT controller. This charges my car battery at a maximum of 12.9 volts in bright tropical sun. This is only enough voltage to get my battery to about 75%. If you want to get the most life out of your battery you want a better controller that can top off your battery at 100% and then maintain. The magnets on the feet are not quite as strong as I would like and it turned out what I wanted to stick it to, my hood, was aluminum, so suction cups to attach to my windshield or sunroof would have been better for my use case, my fault. The feet do have eyelets on top which allowed me to tether it so the wind would carry it off. All of the cables and clips it came with were appreciated, although an in line fuse would have been a good addition.I am buying a higher wattage panel with a smarter controller and suction cups to replace this one.

I have a van that I use occasionally, and I keep struggling with the battery being flat when I want to use it. Replaced the battery but a few months later the same thing happens. So I got this. I wasn’t expecting it to save the day, particularly over a cloudy winter. But how wrong was I? Since plugging this in sat on the dashboard, every time I go to the van it will start, even if it’s been cloudy for a week, it produces enough to keep charge in the battery. It’s really easy to use, you just plug it in, there’s plenty of length on the cable.The indicator lights are in a bit of a silly place hidden underneath the panel, but generally you don’t need to see them. Fantastic value for money and I’m really very pleased with it.

Sorry, no photos but I use this on the roof of my truck to keep the battery charged when idle. My truck seem to suck back about 0.3 to 0.4 amps and this panel keeps my battery charged when truck is parked and not used. I would recommend to anyone that wants to keep the car/truck battery charged to use one of these. The magnetic mounts will ensure that the solar panel stays in place. The magnets are good enough to hold the panel in place while driving. This 12V 20W panel is good to charge the battery at a maximum of 1 amp which is sufficient to keep your battery in great shape.
