Improved design and my favorite controller by far. The Best controller I’ve ever owned.
At the bottom will be the pros and cons if you want to skip to that. They got rid of the buttons on the back from the first version, which is great for me. The wildcat was one of my favorite controllers, and I did like having the option to add the buttons on the back if I wanted to. But, I found the buttons on the back to be a tad excessive in the end. With the Razer Wolverine V2 you get the extra bumpers without the nuisance of anything getting in the way of your grip. The material they used around the grips makes it easy to hold the controller firmly. It felt awkward at first due to the grips formation, but quickly got over that. 0 drift on the controller even when I removed the dead zones. This is a hard quality to find, no matter the controller from my experience. If you are looking to buy a controller I would highly recommend.Pros (Based on my personal preferences)-0 drift, buttons feel great and responsive. (Not sure if I got lucky with the 0 drift on the joysticks. Haven’t seen any complaints about it yet.)-Comfortable, and the grips make it easy to hold the controller firmly. (I really like the material they used)-They removed the buttons on the back of the controller used in the previous versions. Liked the option to have them at first, but in the end I found them to be a tad excessive.-Best controller for the price. (PowerA’s fusion pro controller would be a close 2nd for $80, but it falls short in my opinion. It’s not a bad option though if you like the elite’s paddle style.)(You will need to download the Razer application to program the buttons as well as tweak any other settings to your liking. This applies to PC and Xbox users. Application can be found in the Microsoft Store.)Possible Cons (Depending on your preference, none of these bother me in the slightest)-Doesn’t have interchangeable joysticks or buttons-You aren’t able to remove the cable from the controller. Does have the breakaway towards the USB side.-Cable’s material is standard, and not the mesh you normally see from a Razer product. That’s it, hope this info was helpful. Like the direction they took with this one. Simplified and refined would be a good way to describe this controller. 2 extra buttons are all I need, and I love the placement of the buttons next to the bumpers. I will update the cons list later depending it’s longevity. If it’s like the Wildcat in the regard I have high hopes. (That controller is 4 years old and still works lol.) Sorry if this review was too long, I do not write reviews very often.

    Solid controller
I’ve owned and use this controller for about 1.5 years, still works great and still using it today. It worth nothing that I use the controller probably about 3 days out of the week, for about 0.5-3 hours each session. The Controller feels like it’s made of good quality and has a good hefty weight to it. Most pressable buttons have a nice “clickly” feel to them.Over time, the controller will get dirty. Most of the controller course can be cleaned easily except for the grips. The grips are porous and is hard to get the grips “white” again. The cord on this controller is much more stable and reliable compared to the chroma version/variant.Overall, you can feel how solid the controller is when it’s in your hands.

    Pretty good, a couple annoyances
I will be comparing this directly with a standard wireless xbox one controller, as that’s what I have used, I cannot compare this controller to a xbox series controller which is likely an improvement over an xbox one controller.First, I specifically wanted a wired controller to play elden ring on some time off from work I had, I had already put in about 16 hours using the wireless xbox one controller. The good is that this controller is more comfortable to hold in my large-ish hands, and the menu buttons are placed in locations that are easier to reach without having to move your hand placement.Second, the buttons have a very different feel, but this isn’t a bad thing as my xbox one controller the A and X buttons were very mushy and the Y button was sticking down for some reason despite the fact I’ve used the controller very little considering how long I’ve had it. These buttons are more tactile and spring back much nicer, personally I think the buttons* are a big improvement. Also while the white controller was more expensive at time of purchase(black was on sale for 79.99) the white looks good, and matches my white pc build. One note that’s not really good or bad is that this controller still uses the breakaway connector like what was on the original xbox and the xbox 360, good for not yanking your pc/console if you accidentally tug it, but also may pop loose on you during gameplay if you have the cable routed tautly. Now there are two things that annoy me, and a third which is more specific to what game you’re playing and if you’ve been playing it with a different controller. The first annoyance is that the additional M1 / M2 buttons located on the shoulders have pre-bound mapping, should be blank by default and allow the consumer to map them to what they want should they want to at all. They’re in a convenient location if you plan to use them, or annoying if you didn’t mean to press them and suddenly you’re accidentally chugging healing potions you didn’t need in the middle of a fight, which happened to me many times before I figured out how to unbind them. The second annoyance is that despite this being a razer product and virtually all other razer products being controlled by the synapse app, this controller, and presumably the elite version with even more extra buttons require a windows store app to remap the buttons, this feels silly and combined with the fact that the extra buttons are pre-bound and in a location where you may hit them on accident makes for a real annoyance.Lastly the more use-case oriented annoyance is the triggers, while the buttons feel better all around, the triggers have a reduced actuation point making them “faster” responding, and the controller has little locks to block off the full trigger travel distance turning them more into buttons rather than triggers. This difference in actuation timing takes a lot of getting used to in games where there’s time sensitive button presses on the triggers. Such as parrying in elden ring, even after an additional ~40 hours with this controller I’m still having trouble getting the timing down after the first ~16 hours with a different controller. But if you’re not switching to this controller partway into a game, or you’re just more adaptable to things like that, you’ll probably be fine. I do not know for sure if the changes to the triggers affect the analog-like pressure sensitive features found on the standard xbox one controller which is good for games with driving. The last thing I’ll mention is the indicator light is bright, too bright. So was the logo on the xbox one controller but this one seems to catch me in the eyes more often, if by chance somebody working with Razer sees this review, it would be great if the controller app had a brightness/dimming setting.

As a gamer of many years, I’ve owned almost every console ever made. I’ve seen many 3rd party controllers and most back in the day were bad. Being a console guy I found it difficult to make the jump to PC gaming until guys like Razer made these types of controllers. I currently own an Xbox Elite 1 and 2 and these controllers given the price I paid ( 190 and 220 canadian) are absolute trash. The Wolverine V2 Chroma is a far superior product. Mechanical switches on the abxy buttons as well as 2 extra front facing remappable buttons. Not to mention the paddles underneath. The controller is wired but has a detachable USB C braided cord. There isn’t a battery so the controller is super light but doesn’t feel like cheap plastic. The customization on the buttons is super easy via the software app and RGB color is a nice touch. You can even control your in game audio and chat volume via the d-pad and a button press. I really wish this would have been around when I purchased my Elite2 and saved myself the agony of throwing 220 bucks out a window. I’m on my 2nd Elite 2 and it’s failed again , 7 months lifespan on both controllers. Microsoft treated me like trash and won’t replace the 2nd broken controller. I’ve dealt with Razer customer support before for a mouse issue and they were fantastic. I’d say support guys like Razer who make stuff for gamers and screw Microsoft, a corporation which has a hand in gaming but doesn’t care about gamers. Their track record speaks for itself. I’ll check back with this review in 7 months to hopefully add that in still using the Wolverine without issue. CHEERS …….GOOOOO RAZER!!!

Agora o motivo do título desta avaliação.
