How to make RB48 talk with RB48P?
RB48 can’t talk with RB48P directly because they have different CTCSS/DCS settings.
You can turn off CTCSS/DCS,RB48 can talk with RB48P directly.
In the standby state of direct call mode,press the [MENU] key twice,adjust the CTCSS/DCS number to “00”.
Why is RB48 always in transmitting state?
Please don’t worry, this is because the VOX function is turned on on the walkie talkie. In the standby state of direct call mode, press the MENU key 4 times, VOX will be displayed on the screen, and the VOX level can be set.

Great value. Solid product.
Worked well for our simple usage. Easy to use. Battery lasted a long time – we didn’t talk a lot and the batteries on all 6 units were still at all bars after 4 to 5 hours. Liked charger and belt clips. Didn’t use long distance – only 1/4 to 1/2 mile, but steep terrain and not always line of sight. At times think we were at the edge of its capabilities. Good volume and clarity.

Keep in Touch
These Retevis RB48 walkie talkie are great and the long range is true. Through five Bronx city blocks with tall buildings, I could still communicate with my wife. I brought the radios so that when we are at the mall we can keep in touch. Waterproof and rugged, the radios do their job and do it well. I recommend these walkie talkies.

Worked for an atv trip. No problem communicating.
Work great! Hubby used these on an atv trip. Worked great. Eazy enough my 8 year old sons had no problem understanding.Also kids used them on a road trip keeping in touch with other cars in a caravan, worked well.
