85 inches is the way to go!
Replaced my OLED TV with this! The OLED definitely has a crisper and sharper picture but not by much. I wanted an 85 inch TV but did not want to spend over $3000 for OLED since I was not impressed with the functionality or the remote. I often got very frustrated because there’s way too many bells and whistles on there just to launch apps and watch a program. When this TV got delivered and I finally got it all booted up and ready to go, I was very impressed! It was so nice having the large screen, especially when you pop on a movie. I have a very nice sound bar attached to it so it literally feels like you’re in your own home movie theater. Got this on sale and it was a great deal. Just be prepared that if you pay for the extra unpacking Delivery like I did, you might be the last one delivered, like I was. They said they would be here between 8 AM and 8 PM and they showed up about 7:45 PM. I was a little frustrated being last, but the guys had a long day and they were very, very nice and professional. I had them unpack it put the feet on and leave. The next day I fired it up got all my apps on there. It was good to go. My wife and I cannot be any happier with this Purchase! It was a killer deal on sale!

Remote from Hell
I love the picture quality, but I hate the remote control. It’s a pain in the ass. If you accidentally hit a button, it takes another 30 seconds for you to return to the original channel. Very touchy remote took me a while to figure out how to work the volume and channels button. The close caption is a pain in the butt once again you can’t just push a button and have it come on. You have to push a button and surf through 15 choices before you can turn it on or off I do like the solar powered part, don’t have to use batteries at all ..Well there’s my two cents worth.

Unmatched Picture Quality
I love Samsung TV. I have one in my bedroom and this one I purchased for my living room. This TV has completely redefined what a premium viewing experience means. If you are looking for a television that delivers jaw-dropping picture quality, then this is it. It truly transforms any content, whether it’s the latest 4k movie or a simple cable broadcast. The color on this panel is simply magnificent. They are incredibly vibrant and accurate, and the sheer brightness makes HDR content explode off the screen. Details are sharp, the contrast is excellent.I love the sound it makes it sound like you have a sound bar attached. I love the remote control it is easy to setup the tv and the channels. Plenty of app’s were available and it was easy to add more apps to the list.If you are upgrading or setting up a new main television, the Samsung QLED is an fantastic investment.

Good But…
I am reviewing the 65 inch model. Once I got it set up properly (took more than a week) picture quality is quite good. Not good enough for people obsessed with black levels, but plenty bright and color can be made to be pretty accurate. Sound is amazingly bad. You will definitely need a sound bar or fancy home theatre setup. In theory you can use the Q-Symphony feature to use the built in speakers to augment your sound bar. Don’t. The sound coming out of the built in speakers shouldn’t be used for anything ever. The remote supplied is even worse. I don’t know who it was that decided that less is more when it comes to remotes, but they definitely got it wrong. Using the Smart Things app is significantly better, but there is important stuff the app can’t do, and pulling out my phone or iPad to make simple adjustments is stupid to put it bluntly. The Homepage GUI isn’t any better. Hidden settings are a nightmare. I found some important stuff that should have been turned on by default (eArc and UHD on inputs especially) are in fact turned off by default. I found the settings to turn them on once, but I have not been able to find them again. Obvious they are not. In short, the TV is something of a nightmare to set up. One thing that definitely helped was a video on TouTube that showed the presenter holding up a different Samsung remote with all of the useful buttons which he said was available for $10. It looked very familliar as it appeared to be the remote Samsung supplied with older TVs, because that’s what it was. I happened to have 3 of these on hand, and they ended up solving the remote issue.I realize this is sounding like a very negative review for something I am rating at 4 stars, but once I got through the week long frustration of setting it up the way it needed to be set up, it really is quite nice for my needs. I don’t use cable or over the air functions. I have a fancy Samsung Q990D soundbar, and I use my only inputs are my Apple TV streaming box, and a Sony BluRay player. Those are connected to the sound bar with only the picture being passed through to the TV. I use the Apple TVstreaming box to control the inputs and volume. I will never need to use the supplied remote again as my old Samsung remotes from older TVs are fine. But really once you get it set up to your liking the Samsung remote can be completely ignored forever. Pretty much every recent TV has awful sound, so some other sound source is pretty much necessary no matter what TV you buy. The price is good and the picture is fine. One other thing they hide is the privacy option set. They are there, but hidden with the implication in the title that it is just a privacy policy to read. The options to turn stuff off is something you have to scroll for. Pretty sleazy, but that’s ture of everybody in the TV business. So at this point I am genuinely enjoying the product after a week of frustration.

A decent TV for the price.
Fantastic colors , Amazon it’s the way to go when buying a large TV. No risk involved in getting it broken or any issues to power up as I did when I bought from Samsung, the TV arrived broken and they shipped through Best Buy and did not offers unpacking as Amazon did , they offer free unpacking and power up your TV to make sure you get what you pay for and even took all boxes and garbage with them, awesome experiences, back on the TV the picture is great, the sound terrible so low that you need to buy a soundbar if you want to watch a movie in such a big screen, the sound is like for a 14″ TV not even , also it’s very slow really slow , you need patience to go into menu or apps , another set back it’s the remote control , too small and doesn’t offers much help to get around like for example a “Source” options to quick access , I just bought a genereric old Control to make it easy to set it up , doesn’t have a clock alarm as it use to on the past just timer . Overall it’s a reasonable TV for the price, you get what you pay for , a decent TV for the price .
