Terrible customer service from Turtle Beach and Amazon. 2 defective units in a week. No support. Turtle beach only does email tech support so there’s a 24 hour delay between messages (outsourcing to India) and they were absolutely no help.

The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race is on a whole different level of realism. The direct drive force feedback is incredibly detailed—you can feel every little slip, bump, and curve in the road like you’re actually in the car. The wheel itself feels premium and solid, not cheap or wobbly, and the texture gives it that real race car grip. The pedals are super smooth and responsive, especially the brake. It’s got that firm, realistic resistance that makes a huge difference. Setup took just a few minutes, and it connected to both my Xbox and PC with no issues. Very well built, but I can’t get pedals to work on PC
This set up is great! You definitely need a table or stable surface for the wheel though, it’s heavy! The display and colors look so good, it’s really nice to look at!I tried it with my Xbox and PC, and it did work with both, but it took longer to set up than I would have hoped. It took many tries to connect to the TB app, and even more tries to get it to update. I was able to get the wheel and pedals to both work on xbox, but nothing I did would get the pedals to be recognized on the PC. I’m determined to get it to work, and I’ll keep trying, but I’m at a loss right now.Overall, this is a sweet rig and I do like it. It’s beautiful, very well built and feels amazing.

Surprisingly Sturdy and Immersive
I’m pretty new to sim racing, so I’ve been wanting a wheel for a long time but couldn’t justify buying one until now. Most of the new wheels that come out get mixed feedback about quality for the price, so I wasn’t sure what to expect here.Setup took me longer than it should have. The included diagrams confused me at first because I thought the screws were required. Turns out, unless you’re hard mounting to a frame, you can just use the desk clamp and avoid screws entirely, which makes it beginner friendly once you realize it.The firmware update process also had a learning curve. The Turtle Beach Command Center didn’t work for me, but the VelocityOne Tuner app did. You can check firmware versions on your phone, but updates have to be done through the Xbox app. What tripped me up most was navigation: neither the Xbox controller nor the RB button worked in the update menu. It ended up being the paddle shifters that let me move through the options. The instructions could definitely be clearer about that.As for build quality, I was pleasantly surprised. The wheel itself is heftier than I expected — a lot of entry-level sets feel light and plasticky, but this one has a solid grip and some real weight to it (around a pound). It’s not so heavy that it overwhelms the drive motor, but it feels durable and not like it would break easily. The pedals have a sturdy base with real metal pedals, and the paddle shifters are also metal, which adds to the premium feel. The lighting is a nice touch as well, though I couldn’t find a true red or darker red option in the onboard settings.Once I finally got everything sorted, I was impressed. The pedals feel similar to my own car, and the wheel has more tension than I expected for an entry-level 3.2nm setup. Even with only light adjustments, it already feels realistic, and I can see myself tweaking more as I learn. I tested it with Forza Horizon 5 since it’s beginner friendly, and the immersion was fantastic.Right now my setup is clamped to a small glass desk, so I can’t push it too hard, but the strength of the wheel surprised me in a good way. Overall, as a beginner, I’m very happy with this set and look forward to learning and using it more.PS. I forgot to mention during setup I noticed the cushion for the clamp was misaligned with screw holes. Not a big deal but if it was further slanted, mounting would be difficult to a frame. Also, great touch to add so many different countries adapters for the AC plug!

Great kit – take your time setting up!
TLDR: Outstanding sim wheel – take your time setting up!The good: This wheel is well made; and it should be, at the price it comes for. The wheel itself is a detachable bearing-mount on the axle, which means you can swap it out for another style (from Turtle Beach, of course). The buttons are decent (perhaps could be improved), but the input quality of the wheel itself is genuinely excellent. Tons of customization and tuning, especially via the free companion app for Windows (that’s how I tested it). Cables that come with it are very solid quality, and the multi-region power adapter is a nice touch for a truly global-usable product.The bad: Buttons are about the only thing I could ask to improve – they are sturdy, which I suspect was the goal. They aren’t as tactile or soft as I might like, but…most of the buttons on your actual car (for those that have one) wheel are similarly made…so, I suppose it’s lifelike. Second note; not truly a bad thing, but you will need time to adjust to using this setup. It’s very good – just takes time to become acclimated! Third: you might still want to find a way to anchor the pedal plate down, as it does a good job of sticking under light and moderate presses, but with the stronger springs behind the plates – you may well push it away while using.
