Definitely a great buy
Best small tripod out here , currently using it with my zve10 with a sigma and not once it fell over , if you have a small camera with a compact lens would definitely recommend, easy to use , very portable , doesn’t take a lot of space in your bag, can use with either the phone or a small compact camera , very sturdy and stable tripod , great value for the money

Essential piece of kit.
Very sturdy and wide base. Will not tip over when fully extended using phone mount with phone in OtterBox defender. Not something you can carry in your pocket but it can be carried in a backpack easily. Has a little bit of weight to it but that’s a good thing. When fully extended horizontally there is a little bit of flexibility but not much. It isn’t meant for horizontal extension but handles a GoPro just fine. The phone mount is integrated into the base but I won’t be using that because if that breaks, there’s no way to replace it. If I do attach a phone, I’ll be using an additional phone mount that can be easily replaced if broken. The integrated ball mount orients freely to most positions but only allows horizontal orientation in one position relative to the base. I recommend purchasing an additional ball mount or short arm to compensate for this. Satisfied customer right here.

Works well! Just needs remote
It worked great and was very sturdy – the only reason I felt like it wasn’t 5 stars was because it didn’t include a remote control – which makes it harder to get in position for photos and take many in a row. Otherwise the size, grip and fit was great for a backpack when you travel and had good stability when you put it down (as long as it wasn’t a super windy day).

A very versatile phone tripod
A very versatile phone tripod. I actually bought a competitor’s phone tripod first and I like it well enough, but the ULANZI is a must better choice because of these two reasons:1) It has a cold shoe, which makes it easy to place a microphone (or other accessories)2) It has a ball head, which allows you to adjust the camera angle easilyThis is the one to get.

I love this ULANZI MA09 tripod! It’s sturdy even though light weight and handles the weight of my iPhone and flash. Super tall at 71″, and perfect for selfies, vlogs, or just hands-free filming. Wish it came with a carry case but over all, the other features make up for that. I bought a few others and ended up returning them. I kept this one. The extendable legs and flexible setup make it easy to use anywhere, and it feels solid without being heavy. Makes filming and capturing moments so much more fun and stress-free!

Unfortunate design flaws on what should have been an excellent selfie stick / tripod.
Normally, I’m a big fan of ULANZI products. But this one was a miss for me. The overall design intent was very clever. But the execution was not so great. The part of the product that actually holds the iPhone is poorly designed because the top of it has claws that hold the edge, but the bottom does not. So, unfortunately, it is easy to pull the bottom of the iPhone away from the grip of the iPhone holder. Please see the photos. Fortunately, however, the entire assembly can be removed from the selfie stick / tripod, and you can attach a better designed iPhone holder. The only problem is that now, with the added iPhone holder (in this case a product made by SmallRig) the selfie stick / tripod becomes longer in length and not so easily stored in, say, a backpack. You can, of course, remove the added iPhone holder, but having to make this modification — in order to feel more confident the your iPhone won’t fall off the selfie stick — sort of defeats the purpose of the original design. I’m keeping it, but will not use it with the original iPhone holder. Adding claws to the bottom of the iPhone holder would solve this problem entirely. Hopefully Ulanzi will correct this in future editions.
